(Two friends meet in the gym … )

Glen: Hi Ron. How are you? I haven’t seen you for a while.

Ron: I’ve been very busy. How are you doing?

Glen: Not bad. I’m alive.

Ron: You’re more than that. I heard you’re going out with Jenny.

Glen: Where did you get that idea?

Ron: Oh come on. The word is out. Everybody is talking about it.

Glen: Okay you’re right. And I’m not bragging but she is as beautiful as she is intelligent.

Ron: Well I don’t know what she sees in you.

Glen: I don’t either but she’s someone you find once in a lifetime.

Ron: I’m sure I’ll see both of you around more often now.

“I’m not going out with anyone now.”

* the word is out:

“The word is out about you failing the writing class.”

* once in a lifetime:

“A job like that comes along once in a lifetime.”
