Tina: Mom, may I ask you a question?

티나: 엄마, 뭐 하나 물어봐도 돼?

헬렌: 그럼, 뭔데?

Tina: Now don’t get bent out of shape when you hear this.

티나: 듣고 나서 화내고 그럼 안돼.

Helen: What is it?

헬렌: 뭔데 그래?

Tina: I want to get a tattoo. Can I get one?

티나: 문신을 새기고 싶은데. 하나만 해도 될까?

Helen: Absolutely not!

헬렌: 절대 안돼!

Tina: Why not? My friends at school have them.

티나: 왜? 학교 친구들은 했는데.

Helen: Your friends at school are not my daughters. It’s out of the question.

헬렌: 학교에 있는 친구들은 내 자식들이 아니잖아. 절대 안돼.

Tina: Just a little one.

티나: 작은 것 하나만.

Helen: No way! I’m not going to have it. Not my daughter.

헬렌: 안돼! 절대 허락할 수 없어. 내 딸은 안돼.

* get bent out of shape: 버럭 화를 내다

“My father got bent out of shape when I took his car without asking

* it’s out of the question: 말도 안되다

“You’re not sleeping at your friend’s house this weekend. It’s out of
