The WMC will take take place  November 21-23 in Vancouver, and we encourage your students to apply. Since is establishment by the Perrenoud Foundation in 1992, this competition has brought together the best musicians of the classical world. The WMC offers artistic promotion and financial support for musicians who are willing to expand  their musical career. The competition ran first under the title Vienna International Competition, and then the Perrenoud  Foundation Competition. Since developing into a worldwide music event, it’s title has evolved into the World Music Competition. The World Music Competition has been recognized by the Austrian Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture, and Mayor of Vienna Dr. Helmut Zilk has granted his patronage for the event. We have a diverse jury of international music managers, conductors and concert hall directors to provide adjudication.

 Vancouver live auditions

*Date: November 21-22 (10am)

Location: Showcase Pianos, 1128 W Broadway #1, Vancouver, BC V6H 1G5  We ask the competitors to play 10 minutes of music of their own choice.

Canadian Division Finals

*Date: November 23 (10am)

Location: UBC Roy Barnett Recital Hall, 6361 Memorial Rd, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z2

We ask the competitors to play 15 minutes of music of their own choice.

 The Canadian Division Finals will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes as well as scholarships.

SEMI-FINAL & FINAL 

If the comprtitors are selected for the semi-final, they will be invited to perform with an orchestra in Spain (La Vilavella and Palau de congresos in Castellon) from the 16th to the 19th of July 2020. All the costs for 

competitors flight, hotel accommodation and food will be covered by our organization.

The Grand Prizes for the Finalist:

• Concerts, International promotional concerts as soloist with orchestra, as well as solo recitals. Recordings, Management, CD-DVD publishing

1 year worldwide representation, as a free service with no exclusivity
