Our firm's practice areas are diverse including Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Criminal Law, ICBC Claims, Family Law, Immigration Law, as well as Wills and Estates. We are looking for an honest and detail oriented Legal Assistant to join our team.
Remuneration:
- $24.29 per hour
- 2 weeks of paid vacation

Job Duties
- Maintain the lawyer’s calendar for client appointments and other meetings
- Assist the lawyer in preparing a hit-and-run witness statement and publishing it in media
- Assist the lawyer in preparing documents for a case conference in court
- Open new client’s file and perform data-entry for ICBC forms
- Request clinics for clients’ medical records/ doctor’s notes
- Keep confidential documents in a safe place
- Respond to clients’ inquiries by phone/ email
- Mail letters and documents to clients
- Perform office admin duties
Job Requirements
- Previous work experience as legal assistant
- Previous work experience with handling confidential information
- Competency in ESILaw software
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook Calendar and Google Apps
- Previous work experience in insurance beneficial will be a strong asset
- Fluency in Korean will be a strong asset as 90% of the firm’s clienteles are Korean-speaking
- Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
- Enthusiastic team player, positivity and self-motivation are key to a success in the position
